So many people dream of being a writer yet, many of them only dream. Of those that actually sit down to write, put down a few words, run out of things to say and then begin to realize that writing takes actual work and thinking. Then they give up too easily, vowing to come back to it later but, they never do.
So is your dream just a dream or is it something that you are committed to doing and completing? Having a dream and wishing is not a bad thing, it can keep you happy and longing for more. But, without effort, it will not become anything more than just a dream.
How committed are you? Are you committed enough to put in the work and continue putting in the work until you have achieved your goal? Achieving a goal, any goal takes work and a lot of effort. It is not just given to you. You must work for it and you have to work hard for it.
Dreams are difficult and not always the beautiful dreamy things we imagine. Often, we imagine everything being perfect and beautiful, with no issues or problems. Yet, in reality, we have to struggle and fight for what we want. People and situations will try to stop us and keep us from our dreams.
One of the things that can help us get through the difficult times we face while striving for our dreams is exactly the same thing that got us started, keep dreaming. Go back to the daydream we had and reimagine it. Find that wonderful dream again and relive it. In doing so, we reignite the fire we had for our dream and we find again what we had once hoped for. But the better thing is, we can now fill in the blanks with reality and then see where the dream takes us, to create a new dream.
“So what are your dreams?”
